Stay positive
You may not be where you want to be in your development but you have to stay positive. Physical therapy is like a marathon. You are looking to have steady improvement. There are no home runs in physical therapy. Don't get angry or mad when you don't hit one. A negative frame a mind can be very harmful in your recovery. Always keep that in mind.
Don't cheat
Do your homework. If your physical therapist gave you something to work on, do it. It is very easy to fib and said you completed it when you did not. You are given things to work on to improve your condition. It is very simple. If you listen and play by the rules you are only doing yourself a favor.
Yes its hurts
This is reinforces the staying positive point. Rehabilitation is some of the worse pain you will fill. Normally, you aren't on pain medication as powerful around surgery time. The whole light of the end of the tunnel can be used to visualize. This will probably be one of your biggest obstacles.
Don't over do it
This is very easy to do. You can set back your progress or stop it all together. You body needs gradual resistance to gain strength and build endurance. Pushing yourself will only cause you more problems than benefits.
